Introducing Our New Company: KOTOBUKI Inc.

We are pleased to announce the establishment of KOTOBUKI Inc., a nonprofit-style corporation launched on January 8, 2025. This marks a new chapter in our ongoing efforts to promote dignified and compassionate elder care across the globe.

For the past decade, our team of researchers and innovators has been bridging academic research with hands-on practice in the field of ageing. Through international publications, books, and workshops, we have shared Japan’s unique approach—“KOTOBUKI CARE”—with a growing global audience. As more countries face the realities of super-aged societies, there is increasing demand to learn from Japan’s caregiving experience.

The name “KOTOBUKI” (寿) reflects our core mission: to create a society that celebrates longevity. In a world where ageing is often viewed as a challenge—amid shrinking populations, caregiving shortages, and systemic strain—we are committed to shifting the narrative. We aim to build a future where growing old is not feared, but honored.

With this new organization, we will continue working to ensure that research and practice go hand in hand, delivering real impact to caregivers, older adults, families, and society at large.
